UFC champion Rashad Evans in Toronto for Death Warrior movie – to be fighting on set with Georges St. Pierre and Rampage Jackson

TORONTO (HoundsTV) Mar 16, 2009 – UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans finished a day of filming on Death Warrior – a story on mixed martial arts champions who are forced to fight to the death. The movie is currently being shot in Toronto and features the appearances of some of UFC’s biggest names – including Georges St. Pierre, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Evans.
Acting is about the only way you’ll be able to get UFC fighters to perform in Toronto – the UFC is still banned from holding matches in the province of Ontario.
Evans was met by a group of eager autograph collectors at his downtown Toronto hotel after wrapping filming for the day. While some have labeled champion Evans “arrogant and disrespectful” – HoundsTV witnessed anything but. Evans was extremely gracious and nice to the throng of collectors. Signing every photo and fighting glove they had. Rashad even answered questions from the hounds regarding preparation of his upcoming UFC title defense and even the recent news that Ken Shamrock had tested positive for steroids (Evans called it “unfortunate, but at Shamrocks age you sometimes need an edge.”)
Rashad Evans will defend his UFC title against Lyoto Machida on May 23.
