Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider makes rare Toronto custom car show appearance

TORONTO (HoundsTV) - Former Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider appeared over the weekend at the Motion Custom Car Show in Toronto. Mr. Bo Duke himself signed autographs for delighted fans at a “Dukes of Hazzard” booth alongside a bright orange 1969 Dodge Charger – the car immortalized on the show as the General Lee.
A couple days ahead of his appearance in Toronto, Schneider spoke to Canadian media and had some harsh words for the failed film version of the beloved show that was attempted in 2005 starring Jessica Simpson.
“It was awful. Just awful,” Schneider said of the “Dukes” film.
“It’s interesting to me how a company as large as Warner Bros. could completely and totally miss the heart and soul of ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ when they made that movie.”

Well can anyone be surprised??? IF – someone is trying to make a “copy” sequel or whatever of something as popular as “The Dukes of Hazzard” which grew and grew WITH the actors – and then the “copycats” doesnt even try to follow that lead – and only uses the material items of the original – it can´t EVEN get close to the originals…
) less than nearly no-one knew anything about the Dukes but the General – so the 2005 movie was to a lot the original they still think it is good – i brought the ORIGINAL Series with me hoem from the United Kingdom and has since enjoyed it with a lot of friends.. THEY are now bringing it back from the sattes and do no longer like the 2005 movie..
Schneider, Wopat, Bach, Best etc. developed a show AROUND their personalities – the movie from 2005 was a good B-movie IF you haden´t seen what it was based upon.
Living in denmark( a country smaller than an average american backyard
SO is there anything to say but WELL DONE John and Co!
the 2005 movie was not nearly as good as the family style original, they made the new movie garbage with cuss words.
For me a black guy from the South. The Dukes of Hazzard original series was always very moral. The idea was that these southern dudes were trying to change their ways. And that they stood out as an positive inspiration and role model to the corrupt police dept. As for the case of Daisy, NO ONE can replace Mrs Bach. Daisy was Never a Whore. Nor did she ever compromise herself or act sleezy or slutty. I appreciated the original show because it was very moral. That 2005 movie was lewed, gross, racist and stupid. On the original show we laughed with the characters, not at them. They trashed those characters and sleezified the dukes of hazzard, just as they have trashed so many other nice programs and memories from the past. Star Trek is next to be dumped on. And truned into a violent, sex filled scum program. All of this is more a reflection of the people in Hollywood, than on us as Americans. Having lived in LA and knowing some people in the studios. Believe me when I saw to please watch your kids. These people are motivated by evil and want to hurt America, children and adults. They are ill.
