Stephen King in Toronto for Under the Dome talk at Canon Theatre with David Cronenberg – a sequel for The Shining in the works

(HoundsTV – Toronto) A sold-out crowd of more than 2,000 people filled the Canon Theatre in Toronto for a talk by author Stephen King. King was in Toronto to promote his latest novel, Under The Dome, and began the evening by reading from the book. After, director David Cronenberg came on stage to interview the iconic author.
The writer-directors (yes, King has directed one movie) touched on a wealth of subjects and never wasted a beat to crack wise on George W. Bush (and a few zingers for Sarah Palin too.)

One story that seemed to really interest the audience is when King talked about being well into crafting a sequel to The Shining. King felt the little boy from the story, Danny Torrance, would be an interesting character grown up and has been centering the tale around Danny as a present day 40-year old.
