Video: David Beckham and LA Galaxy in town to play Toronto FC and fans at hotel looking for autographs

It was Beckham-mania this past weekend in downtown Toronto. This video is of soccer superstar David Beckham leaving the King Edward Hotel where his LA Galaxy squad was staying. We haven’t seen a crowd this big for a celebrity leaving a hotel since Brad Pitt was in these parts last September.
As for the autographs. We managed to catch Beckham coming back from team practice on Saturday at about 2:45pm where he was nice enough to sign 4 jerseys for myself and staff inside the King Edward hotel lobby. At around 4pm Beckham left out the side door of the hotel and with some helpers inside the lobby he once again and he signed another few jerseys for us. That is where this picture was taken.
I was very surprised that someone of Beckham’s magnitude and fame was so approachable and accommodating to the fans that had gathered around the hotel all weekend. He would certainly be justified to be using back doors and sneaking in and out of the hotel but instead was really friendly to the fans and autograph collectors. It was refreshing to see someone that famous be so accommodating and generous with his time.
