NEWS: It’s Batman Vs. Superman as their original Comics each sell for $1,000,000 this week

It was a big week for the comic book industry. In a widely reported story earlier in the week, what has long been considered to be the most valuable comic book – Action Comics #1 – the very first appearance of Superman – sold for $1,000,000. This figure surprised a lot of collectors as it was three times the previous amount when the comic book sold just a few years ago.
But that surprise was short lived as that value was upped just three days later when Detective Comics #27 – the first appearance of Batman – sold for OVER one million dollars ($1,075,500) breaking the amount previously held by Action Comics #1.
It is the first time another comic besides Superman’s first appearance can be considered most valuable.
