Elton John shops HMV records on Bloor St. Toronto and signs autographs for fans in the store
September 26, 2008 by Brad ·

(February 29, 2008) Elton John was out and about shopping on Bloor St. Toronto today. He made a very rare and unscheduled stop in HMV records on Bloor St. In my many years of collecting autographs, I have always known Elton to be extremely unfriendly and a very bad signer. Today he totally changed my view. As his husband, Toronto native David Furnish and several bodyguards browsed the store and purchased CDs and DVDs, Elton was more than happy to sign anything and everything brought up to him. People in the store were generally shocked to see him and started grabbing Elton John CD’s and DVD’s out of the Elton bin, ripping them open for him to sign (before they even paid for them!) He even posed for a very rare picture with me. The events of this morning totally shocked me and has to rank as one of the most memorable autograph experiences I have ever been privileged enough to be apart of.
