SOLD: Bat Out Of Hell album cover signed by MEATLOAF [$99] in Toronto while promoting Hang Cool, Teddy Bear
April 27, 2010 by Richard Budman ·
(April 26, 2010 – Toronto) Singer Meatloaf made a stop in Toronto talking to media about his just released new record – Hang Cool, Teddy Bear. Marvin Aday’s (Meatloaf) 11th studio album was produced by Rob Cavallo and features songwriting help from Jon Bon Jovi and Justin Hawkins.
But it can’t be argued Meatloaf’s best work will always be with his Bat Out Of Hell songwriting partner in-crime Jim Steinman. They’ve had recent legal battles over the usual crap mega-successful business partners get into, but that appears to have settled.
But the enduring popularity of Bat Out Of Hell continues. That first album STILL sells in excess of 200,000 copies per year. 30,000,000 and counting…
MeatLoaf was very gracious to spend a few minutes while exiting CBC television studios after a taping of The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos to sign a few Bat Out Of Hell albums covers. Mr. Aday is no stranger to signing that iconic album cover by comic book artist Richard Corben. Meatloaf usually is good about picking just the right spot for his autograph.
