AC/DC arrives in Toronto for sold-out Rogers Centre show – has dinner at Morton’s and autographs photos on smoke breaks

Brad and Brian Johnson of AC/DC
(Toronto, Nov 6-08) I am starting to realize Canada’s strict no-smoking in public place laws are proving a bonus to autograph collectors. The most famous rock band on earth right now – AC/DC arrived in Toronto today for their first of two sold-out Rogers Centre concerts kicking off Friday. On their night off from rocking, the band decided to have a low-key dinner at Toronto’s most famous steak house – Morton’s. Lead singer Brian Johnson, Angus Young, and Cliff Williams were great about signing autographs for us. They kept coming outside for smoke breaks (can’t smoke inside the restaurant) which provided fantastic signing opportunities. As per usual, drummer Phil Rudd was proving difficult with the autographs – but the rest of the boys signed everything for us.

True class guys and rock legends.

Phil Rudd was probably being tough with signing because he didn’t play on that album you’re showing. It was Simon Wright. I’ve heard that about him…he doesn’t like the stuff he didn’t do.

I’m sure he’d be fine with Signing any other albums he did. I got his in Ottawa in 2001 with Angus.

Any chance on some tips Brad? send me a private email if you’re interested. I wouldn’t mind picking your brain.
