The media call AC/DC the Best Signers of 2008 – is 2009 going to be different?
January 8, 2009 by Richard Budman ·
We had a record day for readers at HoundsTV.com today (thank you!) Its because our 2008 Best & Worst Signers list spread around the web today and was sourced by some very popular music news sites including – MusicRadar.com, Contact Music, and Classic Rock Magazine (to name just a few.)
That media coverage led to a lively debate about celebrity autographs on Canadian radio today. The radio talk led somebody to start this interesting forum posting on a very popular Pearl Jam fan site which attracted a ton of commentary.
But 2009 has not got off to a great start for our best named signers of 2008 – AC/DC. Sources in both Cleveland and Pittsburgh indicate that AC/DC was much tougher about autographs this week as their handlers were severely restricting their usually generous signing habits.
Since the tour is about to hit Toronto again for another sold-out Rogers Center gig this Friday night – autograph hounds can only hope 2009 won’t be that different from the last time AC/DC came to town.
We’ll be Twittering news updates from the field as the AC/DC tour rolls into Toronto. FOLLOW HOUNDSTV BREAKING NEWS ON TWITTER

It’s 100% true, I was in Pittsburgh at the “William Penn” Hotel yesterday for over 12 hours, The band would not sign leaving the hotel and hotel/band handlers actually made HOTEL guests walk across the street. Talk about an insult, If i would have been staying there and asked to walk across the street, they would have gotten a big fuck you, When the band arrived back, Nobody knew which entrance they came in, Nobody signed, Brian Johnson supposly ran into a resturant back door and was hiding in the kitchen!
what a wonderful day for someone who drove 6 hours to pittsburgh in a ice storm, last time i ever listen to AC/DC again!
and for the record im not a dealer, just was a diehard fan!
